The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jose Moreno, and the government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Sanchez-Solis, have chaired the Local Security Board convened to plan and coordinate devices face the Jubilee Year 2017.

Jose Moreno reported that among the points raised, highlights "the approval of a plan to ensure the safety and health care during the Jubilee Year 2017, preventive devices that allow everything runs normally."
The Government delegate wanted to stress the importance of the Local Security Board held today and subsequent to be convened as they become specifying those most noteworthy events of the Jubilee Year or are deserving of special security surveillance.
"Given the previous experience of the jubilee years 2003 and 2010, governments have an obligation to our utmost with this religious, economic and tourist landmark that transcends the boundaries of our own region," said Sanchez-Solis.
It has also been formed Police Coordination Board and analyzed the needs of the municipality in terms of Public Safety.
In this regard, the government delegate pointed out that, from January to September Caravaca de la Cruz has seen a decline of 11% in total criminal offenses in relation to the same period of 2015.
