The performances will be developed in the municipal terms of Caravaca de la Cruz, Bullas, Cehegín, Calasparra and Moratalla

The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has today public tender for a total amount of 5.6 million euros, the execution of permanent conservation work on roads around Caravaca de la Cruz and that are part of the regional network, As published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM).
The conservation operations will be carried out in 30 roads and a crossing of the region of the Northwest that run by the municipal terms of Caravaca de la Cruz, Bullas, Cehegín, Calasparra and Moratalla.
The contract will be valid for three years, between 2017 and 2019, with an investment for annuity of more than 1.8 million.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Pedro Rivera, stressed that the maintenance of the autonomic road network "is a basic and essential issue that we have to attend to ensure the highest levels of safety and comfort in driving by citizens and those who they visit us".
Rivera explained that it is "necessary" to make this type of investment in the quality of roads in the Region because "they are part of our heritage thanks to the great budgetary effort of the Community" and stressed that they are even more important with the celebration in Caravaca of The Cross of the Jubilee Year 2017, which provides for the arrival of more than two million tourists.
Integral conservation
With this contract, conservation and surveillance are guaranteed for 24 hours every day of the year, thanks to the existence of personnel and machinery in the event of any incident on the road, from accidents to adverse weather conditions.
Damaged pavement repair, debris removal or bump correction will be included, as well as performing weed control actions for margins removal, road mark repainting, and replacement of safety signs and barriers.
