The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has awarded the first grants to entrepreneurs, included in the I Business and Employment Promotion Plan.
The Councilor for Finance and Employment, Julia Giménez, has delivered these grants, ranging from 1,000 to 1,300 euros, and whose purpose is to encourage the start-up of new business projects.
The first four beneficiaries have been Josefa Mª Navarro López, who starts his activity with a cleaning services company;
Juana Mª Martínez López, who has started a business in the sector of aesthetics and hairdressing;
Antonia María Sánchez Marín, owner of a children's clothing trade, and José Miguel González, who has opted for a business moving service.
The head of the areas of Employment and Finance recalled that the deadline to apply for aid for both the establishment of new companies and the hiring of workers remains open December 30, as it appears in the regulatory bases.
Interested persons can receive detailed information at the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equality, the employment service of the Youth Center or the Office of Local Development.
The first Caravaca de la Cruz Business and Employment Promotion Plan includes several measures with the common goal of boosting the business fabric as a source of job creation and economic development.
Grants for unemployed persons who commit to an independent business activity, either as an autonomous or through another legal form of company, are up to 1,300 euros, and aid for hiring a new worker up to 1,000 euros, depending on the cost Of the employer's social security contributions during the first four months of the contract.
