The Councilor for Social Services, Mª José Soria, handed over the grant that the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz grants to the three delegations of Caritas in the municipality.
The mayor informed that this financial aid is used in the purchase of perishable foods, which will complete the National Bank of Food lots, as well as to meet other basic needs of families in situations of vulnerability and / or social exclusion.
According to the information provided by the organization itself, Caritas delegations in the parishes of El Salvador, San Francisco and La Concepción regularly attend about 340 families.
The City Council allocates 18,000 euros per year to collaborate with Caritas, an amount that becomes effective in two deliveries, at the end and beginning of the year.
