More than 2,000 schoolchildren from all schools in the municipality are taking part this Wednesday, February 15, at the I Solidarity March for the International Children's Cancer Day, organized by the association 'Cuenta conmigo Caravaca', in collaboration with the Caravaca City Council And different sponsoring companies.

The Councilor for Education and Youth, Esther Poveda, and the president of 'Cuenta conmigo Caravaca', María Encarna Lag, presented the activity, accompanied by the members of the board, Encarna Lag and Encarna Marín.

The mayor of Education wanted to thank the involvement of all the people who make up this new association and also of the Carvajal companies have collaborated in the development of the march, which will raise funds to help people affected by cancer and its Families.

Another objective of this charitable activity is social awareness;

"We want to convey, beginning with the children, that the cancer has no age, sex or social class, that anyone can touch and that we are here to help them in this fight," explained the president of 'Count with me Caravaca'.

The march will have as its starting point the sports complex 'Francisco Fernández Torralba', where, at 10:30 am, all the students will be concentrated, accompanied by their teachers, sports monitors and volunteers from 'Cuenta conmigo Caravaca'.

The organization has planned three tours, depending on the age of the participants, the longest being approximately four kilometers.

At the end of the three tours, all participants will enjoy a lunch by Plaza Massima, El Horno and Postres Reina.

The event will culminate with activities of animation and the interpretation by all the students of the song composed with the name of the association, 'Cuenta conmigo Caravaca'.
