The Department of Security, Traffic and Emergencies of the City Council of Caravaca held the Police Coordination Bureau for Gender Violence, which includes the commands of the Civil Guard, Local Police and technicians of the Center for Women Victims Care Gender Violence (CAVI) and the Commonwealth of Northwest Social Services.
The Councilor responsible for the area, Pedro Antonio Muñoz, who chairs this body, reported that the Police Coordination Bureau has as a priority objective to periodically carry out an individualized follow-up of both the victims and their abusers.
"This will promote joint research, improve coordination among security forces and ensure greater protection for all women who have filed a complaint for cases of gender violence," as detailed by the mayor of Security , Traffic and Emergencies.
"The Local Security Board has set up two bodies since 2008. The Coordination Bureau for the Protection and Follow-up of Victims of Gender Violence and the Police Coordination Bureau has not been established in 2008. The second was not constituted in the City Council of Caravaca Of the Cross until last December, "according to Pedro Antonio Muñoz.
In parallel, the Consistorio Caravaqueño also convenes on a semiannual basis the Local Table against Gender Violence, in which, in addition to the Security Corps, other professionals participate, such as representatives of educational centers, health care services and technicians of the Municipal departments of Education, Youth and Social Services to join efforts in the fight against gender violence and to plan sensitization and prevention actions aimed at the population.
