The Councilor for Sports at the Caravaca de la Cruz Town Hall, Antonio Donate, accompanied by the president of the Sports Association 'Adenow', Alejandro Medina, and the association's walking member, Ana Rubio, presented the XVI edition of the Crossing of Mountain Resistance 'Sierras del Noroeste Murciano', which is celebrated on March 4.
This event, known as 'La Clásica' among the mountaineering fans of the Region of Murcia, has a novel route in each edition that is not made public until the moment of its celebration.
The route will be of 42 kilometers, with an estimated time of realization of between 12 and 14 hours and a positive difference of 2,000 meters.
"It is non-competitive and during the same reigns the atmosphere of fellowship with which it was created 16 years ago, although it requires a preparation and good physical conditions for the hardness and duration of it," explained Antonio Donate .
The crossing is part of the activities promoted by the Sports Association 'Adenow', with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the Consistory caravaqueño, in order to promote the practice of mountain sports and to know the magnificent conditions that the Comarca Of Northwest for its practice.

'Caravaca Outdoor Series'
The Crossing of Resistance 'Sierras del Noroeste Murciano' is one of the four competitions that make up 'Caravaca Outdoor Series', a league of sports events whose main objective is to promote Caravaca de la Cruz as a municipality with a great sports offer in the open air .

Secondly, the demanding "Caravaca Trail Experience" takes place, which will delight trail lovers on November 5 with one of the most demanding tours in the area.
As soon as you leave the mountain, participants will change their discipline to enjoy "Caravaca 10.0", a 10k urban circuit that will be held on November 12 and that will force athletes to adapt to a new terrain at a frenetic pace.
The 'Caravaca Outdoor Series' test cycle will close with the 'Cross Fuentes del Marqués', thus putting the icing on a cake that gathers the star tests of the municipality, where the winners will be decided through an established scoring system , Thus rewarding the more regular corridor and with greater capacity of adaptation to the different modalities.
