The Bando de los Caballos del Vino celebrates its XXXVI Cultural Days, with various acts that will show different aspects of this celebration, a candidate to be declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Within these days, will also be presented the new website of the Wine Horses and will be announced a new computer application that allows to control the state of health of horses and optimize their performance, thanks to collaboration established with the University of Murcia And the company 'EqMetrics'.
The program of activities, which begins this Thursday, February 23, with an exhibition dedicated to the contest of 'Horse to Hair', was presented by the Councilor of Festivities in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Óscar García, and the president of the Bunch of the Wine Horses, Juan Damián Martínez;
Accompanied by the vice president, Antonio García, and the Secretary of the Commission of Celebrations, Emilio Martínez.
The photographic exhibition, which marks the beginning of the events, commemorates the XXXV anniversary of the celebration of the 'Horse to Hair' contest and will be formed by images given by the own horsemen and by Tomás García López.
The exhibition, located in the Culture Hall of Cajamurcia, will also include a collection of old images of the Caballos del Vino, given for the occasion by the Gacel rock.
It will remain open to the public from 23 February to 2 March, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
This Thursday, 23, at 20.30 hours, the Cajamurcia Culture classroom will also be the scene of a symposium on the preparation of the race of the Wine Horses, in which it is planned the participation of horses of the winning clubs in the last years.
Dr. Carla Aguirre, of the Clinical Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Murcia, will also speak on a study to improve the health and performance of the horse, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Bando de los Horses of the Wine.
The day of Thursday 2 March will again be dedicated to the contest of 'Horse to hair', with a lecture on horse morphology, in charge of the president of the technical committee of judges of the National Association of Breeders of Pure Spanish Breed (ANCE ), Miguel Martínez, along with other interventions on nutrition and a recital of poems by Isidro Castaño, accompanied to the guitar by Paco Castillo.
This activity will also take place at the Cajamurcia Culture Hall, at 8:30 p.m.
On Friday, March 3, at 8:15 pm, at the Casa de la Cultura 'Emilio Sáez', the selected works will be shown at the I Poster Contest on Wine Horses, in which students from 5th and 6th ° course of all the schools of the municipality.
Afterwards, the official website of the Wine Horses will be presented.
