Project Abraham, the NGO that carries out the collection of clothes, footwear and toys in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz, collaborates with the diffusion of the image of the Jubilee Year 2017 and for this, the containers installed throughout the municipality, Which identifies such a significant event.
Proyecto Abraham is a non-profit association that focuses its activity on social action in the field of socio-labor insertion as well as care for people at risk of exclusion and carries out the collection of clothing, footwear and toys, Through the containers that have installed in the public thoroughfare of the municipality, of which in the year 2016 retired around the 80,000 kilos, thus avoiding that they went to landfill and ended up becoming waste, giving a second use to that which the citizens No longer wants or does not serve.
A good part of the workers who collect these containers of clothes and other work of the Association are people at risk of social and labor exclusion, thus achieving an opportunity for integration through work.
Project Abraham is self-financed mainly by the collection and management of used clothing, footwear, toys and collaborates with various public administrations in Murcia with which it has agreements for the placement of containers, wardrobe, food distribution, reception, School and family support and training.
