The headquarters of the Association of Families of Persons with Intellectual Disability of the Northwest (APCOM) has welcomed the signing of the collaboration agreement between the Region of Murcia Full Plans and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration for free use of regional mobile park buses In leisure activities during the weekends.
The mayor of Caravaca, José Moreno, who has attended the signing of this agreement and has visited some of the occupational workshops, said that "this agreement favors the effective inclusion of people with disabilities, since it guarantees mobility, allowing The users of Apcom and the other associations that integrate the federation Plena Inclusion of Murcia can participate in meetings, activities and excursions.
The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, and the president of Plena Inclusion Region of Murcia, Joaquín Barberá, have initialed the renewal of this agreement, in the presence of the first mayor and the president of Apcom, Antonio Castillo.
Altogether, more than 4,500 people with intellectual disabilities or cerebral palsy are expected to participate in the 151 trips planned for the coming months.
Thus, groups of non-profit associations of Caravaca, Cartagena, Lorca, Murcia, Molina de Segura, Mazarrón or Mula will be able to travel to other points of the Region for different meetings or exits.
In this way, it facilitates the realization of activities that improve the lives of these people in all areas: from artistic therapies to sports meetings through sun and beach tourism or cultural.
Full Inclusion Region of Murcia is the result of the union of more than 3,000 families who work in common for the well-being of people with intellectual disabilities, forming 27 entities and employing 500 professionals.
Throughout Spain, full inclusion is made up of 891 entities spread over Spanish territory.
It represents more than 106,700 people with intellectual disabilities, 235,000 family members, 24,000 professionals and 8,000 volunteers.
