Publicizing the lesser-known cultural and natural resources of the municipality is one of the objectives of the program 'Guided tours and itineraries through the pedanias, the countryside and the orchard of Caravaca', whose fourth edition has been presented by the Councilor responsible for the area of Tourism in the Consistorio Carava, Gloria Gómez, and the director of the museum network, Indalecio Pozo.
"The Department of Tourism offers four new routes, full-time, to be held monthly, from March 26 to June 11, in order to spread among the tourists and among the own caravaqueños the rich and varied heritage that we have distributed by The municipal term, "said Gloria Gomez.
The mayor also informed that the City Council assumes the transport and the guide and the participants pay 10 euros corresponding to the food, based on the traditional gastronomy, which is served in each one of them.
The routes have been designed both lovers of natural spaces and people interested in monumental, archaeological, ethnographic, gastronomic and anthropological resources.
There are prominent spaces of the districts, the countryside and the orchard, places that preserve traditions, customs and monumental elements, sometimes exclusive to the place and even the Region, which also provide signs of identity and a sense of community to their habitants.
The fourth edition of this activity begins on Sunday March 29, with a route that will visit places like the tower of Jorquera, the Fuente de las Tosquillas, the remains of the Roman castle of La Cabezuela or the Museum of Ethnic Music of Barranda.
The rest of the itineraries will discover to the attendants many other spaces such as rural hermitages, cortijos, archaeological sites, natural sites, springs, flour mills, bread ovens, dairies, etc.
