Socialist spokesman Enrique Fuentes deplores the attitude of the opposition councilors in plenary on Monday 27-03-2017 in which they rejected a proposal that had previously been approved by all groups.
It was the modification of the Municipal Organic Regulation, as it was unanimously approved in the last Ordinary Plenum on January 9, 2017, to include an article regulating the annual celebration of an extraordinary Plenum of the 'State of the municipality'.
The proposal of the mayor's office, previously provided to all groups, was taken to the Information Committee of March 22.
In case of any objection or alternative proposal, this was the moment to have expressed it, or previously, but not only did not do it but they gave a favorable opinion, contrary to what they said later in the Plenary.
It is curious that, in an information committee that is held behind closed doors, without cameras or media, nothing is said, possibly because they had not even read the proposal.
A modification could have been agreed upon in the information commission or, if not, left it on the table to reach an agreement at another time;
On the contrary, is brought to plenary for approval and, in the media, a discrepancy is seen with the proposal of the Government team.
This attitude seems to us a lack of respect to the councilmen of the Government and, therefore, to the caravaqueños to whom we represent.

Regarding the improvement of the service of collection of municipal taxes in executive route, the Plenary approved the adhesion to the Agreement between the State Agency of Tax Administration and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.

Likewise, with respect to the Liquidation Office, whose elimination in Caravaca by arbitrary means by the Autonomous Community, is causing serious damages to the taxpayers of Caravaca, who are forced to move now to other towns or the Murcia capital to liquidate autonomous taxes, the Councilor of the hacienda said that it has been repeatedly requested from the City Council to the Community to return to said office as soon as possible before Caravaca has not obtained so far.

Competences for the coordination and organization of local police are defined in the different national and regional coordination laws.
If they had spoken and negotiated more with the unions, the workers and the opposition, and had abused less than their absolute majority, we would not be in such an unfavorable situation now.
And as for looking at the past, we have no other, because the PP in its sixteen years of government has left many generations of Caravaqueños without a future, because although they do not like to hear it, the reality is that we find ourselves in a catastrophic economic situation Inherited.
