The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz grants to the three delegations of Caritas a grant of 18,000 euros, intended to cover basic needs of families in situations of social exclusion and vulnerability.
The Councilor for Social Services, Mª José Soria, has delivered this assistance to the presidents of Cáritas of the parishes of El Salvador, Juana Ludeña;
La Concepción, Carmina Sánchez, and San Francisco, Mª Carmen Cantó.
Soria highlighted the important work carried out daily by the volunteers of this organization in order to help the families and social groups most in need, providing them with direct assistance with food and other basic needs, always in coordination with the Municipal Social Services.
The subsidy of 18,000 is made effective in two annual deliveries and is intended for the purchase of perishable foods, which come to complete the lots that are received from the National Food Fund, as well as to meet other basic needs of families in situations of vulnerability and / Or social exclusion.
