A fair in the Calle Mayor, exhibitions of handicrafts in alpargatera, exhibition of machinery and a program of conferences on fashion and challenges of the sector are the main activities that will take place on 8, 9 and 10 June in Caravaca de la Cruz. Of the I Footwear Week.
"The event will highlight the historic, artisan and sustainability values ​​that characterize the footwear that is manufactured in this area and will serve as a meeting point and support for the more than 20 participating companies in their pursuit of economic, commercial and image profitability." As has advanced the mayor, José Moreno, who has participated in the presentation of the first Week of Footwear, along with the Minister of Employment, Universities and Business, Juan Hernandez, and the president and manager of the Association of Footwear Industry Of the Northwest, Manuel Polo and Salvador Gómez, respectively.
Commercial premises in the Calle Mayor and the cloister of the former Compañía de Jesús building will host a sample of footwear brands and accessories, through 'pop up stores' or experimental stores.
In this same environment, there will be exhibitions of craftsmanship alpargatera, which will represent the origin of the manufacture of footwear, showing works with hemp, spinning or sewing floors.
Another of the activities scheduled during this first week of the Footwear are the talks and round tables 'Shoes & Wine', which will address aspects such as the strength of the brand 'Shoes from Spain', 'Alpargatas, the most sustainable fashion at your feet' And other specific topics for professionals in the sector, such as technological innovation, international management, online sales and marketing and Asian market opportunities.
The program of the Week of Footwear also includes the second edition of the fair of machinery 'Espadrilles Technology', which will take place in Salones del Castillo.
In the Week of the Footwear will participate more than twenty footwear companies, international buyers, media specialized in fashion, as well as bloggers and influencers in social networks, that will make visits to different footwear factories and tourist routes in the city.
