The project to expand the natural gas distribution network in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz includes investments worth more than 600,000.
The mayor of Caravaca, José Moreno, together with the councilman of Urbanism and Works, Enrique Fuentes, and the delegate of Redexis Gas in the Region of Murcia, Pedro Santos, have reported on the actions included in the investment plan currently being carried out finished.
Also present at the presentation was the head of the company's Projects and Works regional, Máximo Cánovas, together with municipal technicians and Redexis Gas, one of the main companies dedicated to the development and operation of natural gas transport and distribution pipelines in Spain.
Redexis Gas has announced that the investment of more than 600,000 euros is intended for the construction of 2,684 meters of the new distribution network.
The work plans affect several areas of the Barrio Nuevo (downtown, low and high) and the streets Condes, Carreras Altas, Humilladero, Torrentera, Cruz, Aranjuez, Canalejas and Ramblica, and continue with a second stretch in Cantarerías.
It will also extend the supply to residential housing on the Moratalla road.
In the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz, Redexis Gas currently has more than 3,300 customers and a distribution network built of 36.45 kilometers of pipeline.
The distribution of natural gas is done through the connection with the national network of pipelines through a branch of 4.7 kilometers in length.
Energy efficiency
The project to extend natural gas in the municipality is possible thanks to an agreement that Redexis Gas maintains with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, whereby every year plans are planned for the supply of this energy source to The homes that do not have it.
After the meeting in the City Hall, the municipal representatives and managers of Redexis Gas visited one of the works in the neighborhood in the area of ​​El Egido Square to check the progress of the natural gas distribution network.
To date, the company has invested 150,000 euros in the pipeline of 1,250 meters, which already serve homes and businesses located in the squares of San Francisco, El Egido, Goya, Toros and Cuesta Cano, as well as in the streets Cantarerías And Esparteros (first section), Picasso, Arvizu, Calvario, Fuente Gradas and Verónica, among others.
