In the Museum Carrilero will be bid for more than one hundred works of different styles and themes
With the aim of raising funds for the fight against cancer, Museo Carrilero hosts an exhibition-art auction from 1 to 15 June, involving about 80 artists.
The initiative is promoted by the Association 'Cuenta conmigo Caravaca', with the collaboration of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz and various artistic companies and workshops of the locality.
The Councilor for Health and Social Services, María José Soria, accompanied by members of the board of the association, wanted to appeal to all the neighbors to "visit this unique exhibition, which demonstrates the quality and Diversity of artists we have in Caravaca de la Cruz and their solidarity, since all the works have been donated for a good cause. "
The exhibition is made up of over a hundred works, most of them paintings of different styles and techniques, but also pieces of handicrafts, costumes or photography, according to its curator, Ana Vacas.
Muher, Pascual Adolfo López Salueña, Teresa Calvache, Raquel Rosique, Manuel Sánchez, Mercedes Martínez Blasco Valdivieso, Francisco Rivero and Fernando Castellano are just a few of the artists who have collaborated in the first auction held in Caravaca.
Each work will have a starting price determined by the author and will be accompanied by an urn, where for 15 days the bids can be deposited.
The inauguration will be next Thursday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m., and the closing on Thursday, June 15, at the same time.
The Association 'Conmigo Caravaca', chaired by Marien Lag, allocates part of the collection of all its charitable activities to research, through the Spanish Association of fight against Cancer.
In addition, he has contributed funds to other projects such as 'The tree of life', a playground for patients of the Children's Oncology Unit of the Virgen de la Arrixaca Clinical University Hospital, promoted by Association of Celebrities and Sportsmen Against Cancer (AFADECA ).
The association also conducts a self-help service and other initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of people suffering from cancer disease and their families.
With the exhibition-charity auction will also support the work of the Spanish Association of fight against Leukemia, based in Caravaca de la Cruz.
