The International Festival of Short Films and Videoart 'El Festivalico' of Caravaca de la Cruz is in its seventh edition on June 16, 17, 18 and 20, with a free screening of more than 100 titles, including short films, fiction productions , Documentaries and video art pieces.
The activity, promoted by the Cultural Association of Art 'El Jardinico', with the collaboration of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz and various sponsors, has passed a record of participation, with the reception in the last week of a total of 1,000 works, From different countries of the world.
One of the novelties presented in this edition is the new section dedicated to children's animation, which will take place on Saturday, June 17, at 11.30 p.m., at the Casa de la Cultura.
After the good acceptance last year, it is also included in the program 'The Shortest Night', which will consist of the screening on Tuesday, June 20, coinciding with the summer release of 16 short films, in the theater Thuillier, such And as Maria Belén Reina, of the Association 'El Jardinico', presented yesterday a film show, accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, Óscar Martínez.
In all its editions, 'El Festivalico' gives prominence to those people who carry out film works linked to Caravaca de la Cruz.
In the local section, scheduled for Saturday, June 17, at 5:00 p.m., in the Thuillier Theater, you will be able to see various works in which Jesús López Melgares, Julián Abellán and Francesc Cánovas participated.
The program will open on Friday, June 16, at 8:00 pm, in the Cajamurcia Cultural Hall, with the section dedicated to the documentary genre and at 21:30 hours will be the beginning of the fiction projections.
On Saturday, June 17, at 11.30, in the House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez', a total of 15 children's animation works will be screened.
The fiction section is resumed on Saturday afternoon, starting at 19.15 hours, at the Thuillier Theater.
The activity planned on Saturday will come to an end with the 'Fiesta del Festivalico', which will celebrate the 'La Nota' Pub, starting at 12.00 p.m., with projection of video clips and a concert in acoustic format of the band Pop carvaqueña 'October', accompanied on this occasion by wind instruments.
The day of Sunday, June 18, will begin at 12.00 hours, at the Thuillier Theater, with the video art section.
At 17.30 hours, the animation for the adult audience will arrive and at 1945 hours the fiction will be resumed.
The seventh edition of the International Short Film and Video Show 'El Festivalico' by Caravaca de la Cruz will be closed with 'La noche más corta', dedicated to short films.
This last activity will take place on Tuesday, June 20, at 8 pm at the Thuillier Theater.
