The mayor of Caravaca, José Moreno, said that this council, whose statutes were approved in the municipal plenary, has as its mission "to encourage participation and to bring together in a single forum the different sensibilities of rural areas, which allows to have a global vision of The problems that affect us ".
Thus, according to the councilman responsible for the area of ​​Agriculture, Livestock and Environment, Enrique Fuentes, "we can know the initiatives that are born in the sector and serve them or, if necessary, transfer them to the competent administrations."
The Rural Council has among its functions to evaluate the rural environment of the municipality;
The proposal of initiatives that have a positive impact on Caravaca de la Cruz;
The issuance of non-binding reports on projects or regulations that may be developed by the City Council or other administrations and submit proposals to the competent bodies.
