The 'Vaca Pop' festival in Caravaca de la Cruz is being held this Friday, June 16, with the exhibition 'Pop rock stars', composed by images of music legends made by renowned and experienced photographers Bill Zygmant and Domingo J. Houses.
The opening will take place at 8:30 p.m. and will be accompanied by the concert 'All you need is love', which will include versions of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix.
The concert will begin at 11:00 pm, in the Plaza Carrilero.
The exhibition 'Pop rock stars', organized with the collaboration of the councils of Culture and Tourism of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, will remain in the José Carrilero Museum until 15 July.
It will be open to the public from 4 pm to 7 pm and admission will be free.
The show consists of a complete collection of star photographs and emblematic concerts of the history of pop and rock, taken by two international reference photographers within the musical field.
One of them is Bill Zygmant, who since 1996 has immortalized with his camera artists like Bee Gees, Jimi Hendrix, Marc Bolan, Mary Hopkins and the Beatles.
Bill took the first images of John Lennon and Yoko Ono together, months before the official announcement of their relationship, at the inauguration of John Crittles's Apple Tailoring Boutique.
Since then, he has worked in press agencies, as an image editor and professor in film and television production.
The exhibition will also feature original images by Domingo J. Casas, a Spanish photographer who has worked throughout his long professional career mainly in photography in the music world.
For their objective they have passed from the protagonists of the 'Movida madrileña' to the great and small stars of rock and pop both nationally and internationally, not forgetting their incursions in advertising, the press, fashion or cinema.
Domingo J. Casas has published his photographs of concerts and portraits of people from the world of music in numerous publications, from Vogue to El Caso, to the magazine El Gran Musical, edited by the 40 Principales, where he began his true legend as a portrait painter Of international groups, as well as of their European concerts.
It was in that period when he began to make his first album covers, reaching the current 500.
