Caravaca de la Cruz participated in the meeting 'European Youth Meeting-EYM 2017', held in the Czech Republic.
Ten Carrasco students, together with about 100 young people from eight countries, gathered in Klimkovice to be part of the activities and workshops planned by the host city from 18 to 22 July.
Both students and authorities from the different cities represented at the 16th edition of the European Youth Meeting-EYM 2017 participated for five days in activities to promote multicultural learning and exchange views and experiences on youth policy.
The European Youth Meeting is carried out thanks to the collaboration established between municipalities of Spain (Caravaca de la Cruz), Czech Republic (Klimkovice), Germany (Obertshausen and Meiningen), Austria (Laakirchen), Poland (Mikolow), Slovenia ), France (Sta. Genevive des Beveos), Portugal (Penafiel) and Italy (Gemona del Fruili) and has been celebrated annually.
In 2008 Caravaca de la Cruz joined these European cities, thanks to the city of Obertshausen, and in 2009 was the venue of the meeting, bringing together all the cities that make up the network.
The common goal of the cities participating in the European Youth Meeting is to promote and promote the European sense among the youth population, through experiential experiences that allow first hand knowledge of the culture of the different countries.
