The Councilor for Youth and Education in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Esther Poveda, welcomed the young participants in the different fields of work that are celebrated this summer in the Region of Murcia, who moved to the city on the occasion of the Year Jubilar 2017.
The mayor of Youth and Education, Esther Poveda, and the director general of Youth, Fran Sánchez, attended a demonstration of the work carried out in the work fields 'Recovery and promotion of heritage', held in Cartagena;
'Ecotourism for the highlands of Murcia', which is based in the municipalities of Bullas, Cehegín and Calasparra, and 'The Way by the River', Calasparra.
Previously, the young pilgrims to Caravaca from the neighboring municipality of Cehegín, by the Northwest Greenway.
The fields of work are a form of voluntary service, which consists in the disinterested accomplishment of a work that reverts to the benefit of the community in which it is developed.
They offer the possibility of knowing other places and forms of culture, of contacting other young people with the same concerns of solidarity, tolerance and friendship, fomenting the characteristic values ​​of volunteering.
They are organized by the Youth General Directorate, in collaboration with La Caixa, municipalities and voluntary associations.
