The various primary schools of Caravaca de la Cruz will participate throughout the current academic year in the environmental education campaign 'Educa en Eco', promoted by Ecoembes, in collaboration with the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia and the concessionaire company of the municipal service of cleaning and collection of urban waste, Urban Actions.
The campaign has begun with the distribution of 87 paper bins and light packaging in the different schools in the urban center and the districts, as explained by the Councilor for the Environment, Enrique Fuentes, during the visit to the Public School Cervantes .
These small containers are also being placed in municipal buildings, such as the House of Culture, the City Hall building, the premises of the Local Police or the Municipal Tourism Office.
The 'Educa en Eco' environmental education campaign, which is aimed at some 3,000 schoolchildren in the municipality, includes a series of initiatives and activities that will be developed over the next few months and which aim to improve the recycling data in Caravaca de the Cross, as a key pillar of sustainability for the future.
'Educa en Eco' focuses on education from an early age to achieve greater involvement of the citizenry in protecting the environment.
'Educa en Eco' will continue next week with talks aimed at teachers, in which the activities offered will be made known so that the students are aware of the impact of their daily gestures on the conservation of the environment and that they know all the benefits of the recycling.
