With five modalities of participation and tests directed to the smaller categories, the next days 23 and 24 of September is celebrated the IronCross Barranda, in which the participation of about 450 runners and walkers is expected.
The place of the Teas of Barranda was the place chosen to make the presentation of this sporting event.
It was attended by the Councilor for Sports in the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, María José Soria, the director of the IronCross Barranda, Mario Alvarez, and the co-director of the race and member of the Mountain Club 'El Gavilán ', Isabel Soriano, together with representatives of the associations InglobaTea and Adaptaocio, to which the benefits of the test are destined.
The mayor María José Soria highlighted the enthusiasm and effort of the organizing committee components, who "have managed to design and carry out a test with spectacular paths and various levels of difficulty, which also has important values ​​of solidarity, thanks leisure and leisure activities aimed at children with special abilities ".
The IronCross Barranda has mountain scenery in the Northwest of Murcia, such as the mountains of 'El Gavilán', 'Loma Victoria' and 'El Nevazo'.
The goal will be located in Barranda, next to the school Virgen de la Candelaria, where there will be a reception area of ​​the corridor, with provision of goal and massage service.
The public and the participants that meet in Barranda will also be able to enjoy a 'Fair of the Corridor', in which, in addition to the stands of the collaborators and sponsors, there will be tastings and points of sale of gastronomic products typical of the area.
The competition has five modes of participation: Master (marathon 42 kilometers), Medium (26 kilometers), Promo (14 kilometers), Hiking (26 kilometers) and Hiking (14 kilometers).
The IronCross Barranda also gets the involvement of the youngest in the practice of sport in nature, through the PekeIron, a series of tests for the smaller categories.
