The High Court of Justice of the Region of Murcia has celebrated the solemn opening of courts in Caravaca de la Cruz.
The event, presided over by its president, Miguel Pasqual del Rilquelme, was held in the Plenary Hall of the Consistory, with the attendance of numerous assistants, representatives of all public institutions in the Region.
The opening of the Judicial Year, which took place first in Caravaca de la Cruz, after having been held in previous editions in Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca, was also attended by the members of the General Council of the Judiciary, Juan Martínez Moya and Gerardo Martínez Tristán.
Likewise, the Secretary of Government, Francisco José García Rivas, and the Superior Prosecutor of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, José Luis Díaz Manzanera, intervened.
The Mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, expressed his gratitude to the Superior Court of Justice of the Region of Murcia for having held in Caravaca this act and praised "the work of Justice, which needs greater human and material resources ".
The event was attended by the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López-Miras;
the president of the Regional Assembly, Rosa Peñalver, and the Government delegate, Antonio Sánchez-Solís, among other authorities.
The opening of courts has begun with the constitution of the Governing Room of the TSJ of Murcia, the opening speech of the Judicial Year and the reading of the projects developed within the Strategic Agenda of the TSJ of the Region of Murcia 2015/2020 (AE TSJMU20).
Next, the recognition approved at the last meeting of the Governing Council of the TSJMU for the outstanding work during the last year of magistrates, prosecutors, lawyers and officials of the Administration of Justice and professional groups and collaborating institutions with projects of the Superior Court, such as the Bar Associations and Attorneys of Murcia and the Civil Guard.
Grateful thanks have been given for the work carried out last December as a result of heavy rainfall in the Region;
for the program "Educating in Justice and Justice of Peace Education" developed last year and for the coordination of the Unit of Intrajudicial Mediation of Murcia.
