The general director of Roads, José Antonio Fernández, and representatives of the municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín and Bullas have visited the works of reinforcement of the road that are being executed in the Autovía del Noroeste in order to improve road safety.
In particular, an action is being carried out along 18 kilometers and in six links, budgeted at around 2 million euros and financed by the canon of the concession contract for the exploitation of the Northwest motorway.
The road replenishment plan is being carried out in four years, with an investment of 9 million euros, as indicated by the head of the General Directorate of Roads.
During the visit to the works, the Town Planning Councilor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Enrique Fuentes, has also highlighted the need to undertake the construction of the North Highway, which connects Caravaca de la Cruz with Jumilla, and especially its link with the industrial estate of Cavila, as strategic infrastructure and necessary for the industrial and business development of the municipality.
