The Association of Food Companies of Murcia, Alicante and Albacete (Agrupal) showed their support for the 2017 Jubilee Year, celebrating in Caravaca de la Cruz its board of directors and a pilgrimage in which more than a hundred of its members participated.
The mayor, José Moreno, received the board of directors in the Consistory Plenary Hall-headed by its president, José García, and vice-president, Caravaca Antonio Marín-to thank them for the involvement with Caravaca of a "strategic sector for the development of the Region of Murcia, generator of employment and wealth and integrated by companies that are a mark of quality of our land ".
Currently, Agrupal is composed of 76 companies, which directly employ more than 11,000 workers and have a turnover of over 2,700 million euros.
Represents a large number of subsectors of the food industry, such as the processing industries of fruit and vegetables, juices, frozen, citrus, olives and pickles, beverages, smoked and salted, sweets, bakery and pastries, poultry industry, cheeses, organic products , etc.
