Nearly a hundred people with physical disabilities have participated in the 2017 Jubilee Accessible Route, promoted by the Federation of Murcia Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disability (FAMDIF-COCEMFE-Murcia), with the collaboration of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the ATA Group of Hiking and Mountain.
The participants, led by the president of FAMDIF-COCEMFE-Murcia, Carmen Gil, completed a seven-kilometer journey, from the pilgrim hostel 'La Estación' in Cehegín to the Royal Basilica of the Vera Cruz.
In the last section of the pilgrimage they were accompanied by the mayor, José Moreno, and by the councilors of Social Services and Health, María José Soria, and Emergencies, Traffic and Public Safety, Pedro Antonio Muñoz.
The mayor María José Soria stressed that during the 2017 Jubilee Year both the Local Police and local delegations of Civil Protection and Red Cross are doing a great job of information, assistance and support to pilgrims with mobility problems, using adapted vehicles, to try that there are no barriers when participating in the 2017 Jubilee Year.
