The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, in collaboration with the Center for Attention to Women Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI), joins the 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women', organizing different activities that will have as common goal to continue raising awareness among the population about the need to prevent and end gender violence in any of its manifestations.
The councilor in charge of directing the areas of Women, Social Services and Health in the Caravaqueño Consistory, María José Soria, informed of the planned programming on the occasion of the 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women', pointing out that "the struggle against gender violence is a cause that is present all year, but these days we want to have a special impact on social awareness and educational activities based on equality ".
During the month of October and November a series of workshops has been given to the students of 3rd of ESO in all the secondary schools of the municipality.
This program of prevention of gender violence in adolescents has been taught by the CAVI professionals. On November 24, the educational campaign will be carried out in the Infant and Primary schools, both in the urban area and in the districts, with the reading of the story 'The world of colors, everyone has their way of being', in which equality between children and children is promoted.
In the Secondary schools, the manifesto will be read on the occasion of the 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women'.
The women's associations of the municipality and the users of the program of municipal sports activities, together with all those who wish to join, will be part of the Urban March of the 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women', which will take place on Friday November 24, with departure from Plaza del Templete, at 09.00.
At 11.00 am, the manifesto will be read in the Plaza del Arco.
Within the activities of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a talk-colloquium and a self-defense course, which will be taught by professional trainers and members of the Civil Guard, on Friday, 24 November, in Halls Castillo de la Cruz.
