The Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has participated in the training meeting of the program 'Youth Correspondents of the Region of Murcia 2017/18', held over the past weekend at the youth hostel Calarreona, in Águilas, to where they moved seven of the eight correspondents with which the municipality counts in the different centers of Secondary.
At the meeting also participated as a speaker the technician of the Department of Youth Mari Carmen Donate, who presented to more than 150 attendees the work that has been done in recent years in collaboration with youth correspondents.
The program 'Corresponsales Juveniles', coordinated by the General Directorate of Youth and the 'Informajoven' services of each municipality, has as its main objective to decentralize information by providing young people with access to it.
During this course the tenth edition is developed, which has 78 correspondents in different Secondary Education centers and in the University.
Youth correspondents are students who are mainly responsible for informing students of their centers of the calls, resources and activities that may interest them.
They are in charge of managing an information panel and attending the Youth Information Point.
They also detect, collect and transmit the demands and needs of young people.
