Within the cultural Christmas program, the group 'Cantoría' offers a concert on Wednesday, December 20, at 8:00 pm, in the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, of the Convent of the Carmelite Fathers.
The caravaqueño pianist Luis Cantó will accompany the vocal formation with the organ realejo.
Inés Alonso (soprano), Samuel Tapia (countertenor), Jorge Losana (tenor and direction) and Valentín Miralles (bass) will interpret Christmas compositions contextualized in the time of San Juan de la Cruz.
In addition, within this recital organized coinciding with the Jubilee Year 2017, caravaqueñas scores will be presented, dating from the late sixteenth century, which appeared in the notarial protocols of the General Archive of the Region of Murcia, which have been adapted for this concert, fruit of the investigations carried out by Ignacio López and Miguel Martínez.
The concert of the 'Cantoría' is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment of the Autonomous Community, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, the University of Murcia through the Campus 'Mare Nostrum', Early Music Project and the Carmelite Fathers.
'Cantoría' is a young vocal ensemble specializing in Renaissance and Baroque music, founded and directed by Jorge Losana.
The group, born from the festival "Early Music Aledo", usually works with instrumentalists specialized in historical interpretation, looking for interpretations in new perspectives on the relationship between voice, text, body and emotions.
'Cantoría' collaborates for this with specialists in historical dance and theater of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in the realization of their productions and shows.
He has participated in the International Festival of Ancient Music of Sierra Espuña (FIMASE), in the International Festival 'Murcia Tres Culturas', the 'Simfònic' festival in Barcelona, ​​the Ancient and Baroque Music Festival of Lorca, and has offered concerts in different venues.
