The exhibition 'Road to Inclusion', formed by 35 works made by people with intellectual disabilities and held during the last weeks in the Cloister of the Castle of Caravaca de la Cruz, has been closed with the presence of users of the Federation of Associations of Families of Persons with Intellectual Disability 'Plena Inclusión Murcia'.
The event was attended by the councilman and second deputy mayor in the Caravaqueño Consistory, Enrique Fuentes, who recalled that this exhibition - visited by thousands of pilgrims who have passed through the Basilica of Vera Cruz - has been motivated by the coincidence of the 35th anniversary of 'Plena Inclusión Murcia' and the celebration of the Jubilee Year 2017.
Enrique Fuentes also wanted to thank the involvement of the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia, which has collaborated with 'Plena Inclusión Murcia', the Brotherhood of Vera Cruz and the City of Caravaca de la Cruz in the organization of a cultural event with which has shown the inclusive and inclusive character of the 2017 Jubilee Year. He has also praised the artistic work of the different participating associations: Afapade (Murcia), Apandis (Lorca), Apcom (Northwest), Astrapace (Murcia), Assido ( Murcia), Ceom (Murcia), Prometheus (Torre Pacheco) and CO Urci (Águilas).
The closing ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities of the regional government, Violante Tomás;
the brother-in-chief's lieutenant of the Brotherhood of the True Cross, Francisco Romero;
the president Full inclusion Region of Murcia, Joaquín Barberá, and the president of Apcom, Antonio Castillo, accompanied by numerous users and professionals from the different associations involved.
The exhibition has gathered 35 paintings and sculptures, one for each year of existence of 'Plena Inclusión Murcia', which have shown landscapes and monuments of the Camino de la Cruz de Levante, throughout its five stages.
