The House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez' hosted the delivery of trophies of 'Caravaca Outdoor Series' and the presentation of the 2018 edition of this outdoor test circuit formed by the Crossing of Resistance in Mountain 'Sierras del Noroeste Murcia', "Caravaca Trail Experience", "Caravaca 10.0" and the "Cross Fuentes del Marqués".
The Councilor for Sports in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, María José Soria, accompanied by organizers of the various competitions integrated in 'Caravaca Outdoor Series', highlighted the high participation, with more than 1,800 athletes, in the first edition of this circuit, that gathers some of the star tests of the municipality.
'Caravaca Outdoor Series' tries to encourage the love of outdoor sports and promote the many natural and scenic resources that Caravaca de la Cruz has for its practice.
In the first edition, the most regular athletes were rewarded and with greater ability to adapt to the different modalities, according to the scoring system set by the organizers of this league.
In the men's category, the first position went to Benito Jiménez Martínez, from the 'Adenow' Sports Association;
the second for Pedro Rubén Navarro Puerta, from the club 'Las goras tiran al monte', and Tomás Sánchez Sánchez, from the 'Cruz de Caravaca' Sports Association.
In the women's category, the winner was Ana Rubio Corbalán, from the 'Adenow' Sports Association;
Mónica Pérez-Castejón López, from the PR69 club;
and Chary Martínez Giménez, from the Northwest Mountain Club.
