The Murcian classical music ensemble 'La Tempestad', accompanied by the actress Nuria Espert and the Madrid violinist Pablo Suárez Calero, will star on the 7th of January the closing concert of the Jubilee Year 2017. The concert, sponsored by the Fundación 'Camino de the Cross', will have as frame the parish church of 'El Salvador' and will start at 8:00 pm, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
The Councilor for Culture and Celebrations in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Óscar Martínez, participated in the presentation of this cultural event, together with the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Javier Celdrán, the elder sister of the Brotherhood of La Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Girón, and the director of the Business Area of ​​CaixaBank, Mª Rosario Ríoz.
The members of 'La Tempestad' will perform 'The Four Seasons' by Vivaldi, one of the most important works of the History of Music, accompanied by the award-winning actress Nuria Espert, the recent Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts, who will recite the sonnets attributed to her own Antonio Vivaldi.
'The Four Seasons' is the most well-known work of Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi and it is a group of four concerts for violin and orchestra of which each one is dedicated to a season: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter .
Compounds around the year 1721, were published a few years later with accompanying poems that described what the author wanted to represent in relation to each of the stations.
The works provide one of the earliest and most detailed examples of what would later be called programmatic or descriptive music, music with a narrative element.
'La Tempestad' is integrated by the musicians Víctor Martínez Soto and Pablo Prieto (violins);
Antonio Clares (viola);
Juan Pérez Albéniz (violoncello), Jorge Muñoz (double bass) and Silvia Márquez (harpsichord and artistic direction).
The violinist from Madrid Pablo Suarez Calero will perform as a soloist.
Nuria Espert, actress of theater, cinema and opera and also director of scene, is one of the most successful and laureate creators of Spain.
Among other recognitions, and thanks to her outstanding career, she has obtained the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts (2016), the Gold Medal of the Gran Teatro del Liceo (2010), the National Theater Award (1984), the Medal of Gold to Merit in the Fine Arts (1983) and was named honorary doctor of the Complutense University of Madrid in 2012.
