The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Sports, and the Basketball Club 'Caravaca' organized the next days 29 and 30 December the 6th Christmas Tournament 'Francisco Fernández Torralba', which will be more appointment of 200 players, from a total of 16 teams, from municipalities in Andalusia, Castilla La Mancha, Valencia and Murcia.

In the tournament, teams from the Cadet and Junior categories, both female and male, will participate in the following clubs: 'Caravaca Basketball Club', 'Molina Basket', Alicante Onil Sports Club, Baza Granada Basketball Club, Molina Basketball Club Murcia, Almussafes Basketball Club of Valencia, Jorge Juan de Novelda Basketball Club (Alicante), Valdepeñas Basketball of Ciudad Real and Club Baloncesco V-14 of Villena (Alicante).

The tournament will be complemented by a series of parallel activities.

The teams of the categories Benjamin and Minis of the Municipal School of Basketball will also be integrated in the VI Christmas Tournament 'Francisco Fernández Torralba'.

The Councilor for Sports, María José Soria, has invited the caravaqueños to participate as an audience in this tournament, encouraging both the local teams and the visiting clubs and enjoying a great atmosphere around basketball.

The matches will be held on Friday, December 29, from 9 a.m. to 10.30 p.m., and on Saturday, December 30, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., in the municipal pavilions 'Juan Antonio Corbalán' and 'Jorge Bera'.

The doubles, tripes and two-ball competitions will be held on Friday, December 29, at 9:00 pm, in the Corbalán pavilion.
