The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz will launch during the year 2018 four programs of local public employment, with a global budget of 477,500 euros, involving about thirty people in unemployment.
The councilor who directs the areas of Employment and Finance in the Consistory caravaqueño, Julia Giménez, has reported that one of these programs will be dedicated to the specialties of cleaning and beautification of gardens and public spaces and for it will be hired with 20 student-workers, during the 12-month period, together with two teachers and an administrative assistant.
The mixed employment and training program will have a total budget of 326,969 euros, of which 313,095 are contributions from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and 13,873 municipal contributions.
This program will be complemented with the one dedicated to the adaptation and beautification of urban elements, financed with 61,575 euros, of which 22,084 are contributions from the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and 39,490 from the SEF and the ESF, for which the hiring of 3 long-term unemployed for six months.
Another of the programs that will allow an improvement of public spaces of the municipality will be devoted to specific adjustments in museums and buildings of municipal ownership, with a budget of 74,510 euros, financed with 22,374 euros of municipal contribution and 52,135 of regional funds.
In this case, four people will be hired for four months.
Finally, the program of local public employment for attention and tourist information has also been approved, so that the person will have a person under 30 years of age for nine months, with a budget of 14,450 euros.
The Councilor for Employment and Finance has recalled that currently there are two other public employment programs underway that are allowing the renovation of the locker rooms of the municipal sports courts Juan Carlos I and the expansion of the services of the Municipal Office of Tourism and other points of attention to the visitor, destined the latter to young people under 30, registered in the National System of Youth Guarantee.
"The programs already underway and those that are going to start operating during the first quarter of the year have been approved based on the projects developed by the City of Caravaca, through the Municipal Employment and Training Center, and have as aim to combat unemployment, improve the professional qualification of unemployed people and carry out actions to improve public spaces that benefit the entire community ", reported Julia Giménez.
The pre-selection of personnel for all these programs will be carried out by the Regional Employment and Training Service, who will make the referral to the Municipal Employment and Training Center of people in unemployment situation with the profile reflected in the regulatory bases.
