The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz puts the final touch to the municipal program of activities framed in the celebration of the Jubilee Year 2017 with a concert by the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory 'Leandro Martínez Romero', which will take place this Thursday, January 11, at 8:30 p.m., in the parish church of La Concepción.
Access will be free, until full capacity is reached.
"The Jubilee Year has a religious sense, but also an important cultural aspect that from the City of Caravaca we have not wanted to leave at any time unattended, programming numerous activities over the past months and counting, as a climax, with this magnificent concert , in which some 60 musicians from the Northwest Region will participate, who are currently receiving training in the caravaqueño conservatory ", according to the councilor who directs the areas of Culture and Celebrations, Óscar Martínez, who presented the concert, coinciding with one of the rehearsals, accompanied by the directors of the Conservatory and the Orchestra, Raúl Bartomeu and Rafael González, respectively.
For his part, the director of the Conservatory thanked the City of Caravaca for the trust placed to close the municipal program of the Jubilee Year 2017: "for us it supposes a pride and responsibility, which entails an intense preparation throughout the course, for that reason I appeal to the caravaqueños to accompany us, because the best reward for a musician is the presence of the public and their sincere applause, "said Raul Bartomeu, who recalled that this is the fourth concert that the Symphony Orchestra performs in the church of La Concepción, due to the special acoustic conditions it brings together.
The director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory 'Leandro Martínez Romero', Rafael González, advanced that the musicians will interpret a pedagogical and artistic program, with compositions of the great professional orchestras, like the 'Overture Egmont, op 84', by Beethoven, 'L'Árlésienne Suite n ° 1', by Bizet and 'Finlandia', by Sibelius.
The Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music 'Leandro Martínez Romero' consists of about 60 musicians, who study the specialties of strings, percussion, wind-wood and wind-mental.
In addition to the orchestra, within its students, the Caravaqueño Conservatory has seventeen chamber music ensembles, which also include the piano and guitar specialties, and the music band.
