Caravaca de la Cruz will unveil the Camino de San Juan de la Cruz, the product 'Yemas de Caravaca', the festivities and the 40th edition of the Fiesta de las Cuadrillas de Barranda
The natural, heritage, gastronomic and cultural resources of the Region of Northwest of the Region of Murcia will be present at FITUR 2018, the International Tourism Fair of Madrid, which starts tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, and continues until next Sunday .
The municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, Calasparra and Moratalla will present a joint tourist offer in a stand of 112 square meters, with 70 meters of led screens, where they will be projected simultaneously more than six outstanding images of each of the municipalities .
This space will have a place for meetings with professionals of the sector, a counter for the public and a permanent display of artisanal and gastronomic products.

Calasparra, José Vélez, and Moratalla, Jesús Amo, have highlighted the importance of being present at one of the most important international fairs worldwide, through a joint offer, which unites the multiple attractions of the Northwest Region for religious, rural, cultural, gastronomic, active or adventure tourism.
"For the third consecutive year, municipalities of the Northwest - to which in this edition Moratalla adds, with its important offer of rural tourism - we have opted for a joint presence in the leading fair of the sector, which allows us to have a tourism product stronger, so that tourists stay longer and spend the night in this area and be more attractive when it comes to attracting tourism investments ", according to the mayor of Caravaca, José Moreno, at the press conference held in the Salón de Plenary sessions of the City Council of Cehegín.
During the five days that the fair will remain open to professionals of the sector and the general public, at the Northwest stand eight presentations of outstanding tourism resources of the region will be made, along with numerous tastings and raffles gift of artisan and gastronomic products.
Coinciding with the Teresian Jubilee Year, Caravaca de la Cruz will present on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m., the Way of St. John of the Cross, which follows the route that the mystic-carmelite made in his seven visits to the city, from the municipality of Beas of Segura (Jaén).
The Department of Tourism of the Caravaqueño Consistory will also present the gastronomic product, of Carmelite origin, 'Yemas de Caravaca' (Friday, at 11.00), as well as the festivities of Moors, Christians and Horses of Wine and the fortieth edition of the Fiesta de las Cuadrillas de Barranda (Saturday, 12.00).
Likewise, around twenty meetings have been closed with travel agencies, specialized magazines and other companies related to the tourism sector.
FITUR is the global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading fair in the receptive and issuing markets of Ibero-America.
This edition grows an 8% increase, aligned with the good moment that the world tourism sector is experiencing, and with the record figures recorded by Spain.
With regard to 2017, the national and international presence is increased, in companies and on the surface.
In total this edition exceeds 10,000 participating companies from 165 countries and regions.
