The Department of Finance of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz gave an account at the last plenary of the municipal report on delinquency for the fourth quarter of 2017, which shows that the average period of payment to suppliers has been reduced to 168 days, the ratio of transactions paid for 262 days and that of operations pending payment of 82 days.
Therefore, as reflected in the report drawn up by the Municipal Treasury, in the last quarter of last year the average number of days to pay an invoice decreased, from 308 days of the third quarter, to 168 days of the fourth quarter.
Data that, in the words of the mayor of Finance, Julia Giménez, "has to improve more, but it is very favorable for the image of the City and the development of the city and also shows that municipal management works and progresses positive and adequate way ".
The ratio of transactions paid has gone from 487 days to 262 days (it has been reduced by 225 days) and the ratio of outstanding transactions has improved significantly from 216 days to 82 (it has been reduced by 134 days).
Something, as the head of the Treasury Department explained during the last plenary session, is due to the measures adopted to combat late payment and reduce debt: "As it had been advancing during the presentation of previous reports, there was going to be a decrease in the average term of payment to suppliers in the final stretch of the year because we have faced arrears debts, as is the case of the one that had been pending since 2014 with Cespa, the former concessionaire of the cleaning and garbage collection service, which amounted to a total of 1,262,364 euros. "
From accounting records to current date results in a debt to suppliers, including consortiums, commonwealth and other public entities, of 4,526,540 euros, which means a reduction since June 2015 of 3,653,758.81 euros.
