The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz will launch the 'Activate' youth employment program, which will include various training activities focused on the tourism and hospitality sectors.
This project, promoted by the Employment Service of the Youth Council, has been financed with 33,000 euros by the Ministry of the Presidency and Administrations, within the line of grants from the European Social Fund to improve the capacity of young people to enter the labor market. 30 years, beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System.
The 'Actívate' program will be integrated by different modules, such as 'Local tourism promotion and visitor information' (180 hours and 10 recipients) or 'Auxiliary restaurant and bar operations' (120 hours and 10 recipients) .
It will also have complementary training, through the development of courses on the use of new technologies applied to job search, English customer service and equal opportunities for men and women.
Finally, the program 'Actívate' also has a module of professional practices in companies in the catering sector and in the municipal services of attention to visitors of the Department of Tourism, as well as individualized tutoring for the realization of a business project or accompaniment and orientation in the search for employment.
'Actívate' is one of the seven programs presented by the municipalities of the Region of Murcia that have obtained funding through the aforementioned line of grants from the Ministry of the Presidency.
The objective is to take advantage of the sectors with the greatest potential and probability of growth to improve the opportunities of access to the labor market of those young people who are not currently working or studying.
Among the specific objectives, it is also possible to favor the personal development and the ability to adapt to the environment of the participating students, as well as to provide information on all available resources for job search.
The program 'Actívate' has a total budget of 35,840 euros, of which 32,933 euros come from European funds distributed by the central government and 2,906 euros are provided by the Department of Youth, since these projects are funded at 90% , with the aim of promoting sustainable integration in the youth labor market.
