The Regional Association for the Promotion of Hospitality and Tourism of the Northwest (Asprocomur) has presented the project of the Center for Hotel and Gastronomic Qualification of the Northwest, which is to be implemented on the ground floor of the Multiservice Center of the Industrial Estate of Cavila, through a collaboration agreement with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The project also opts for European funding through the 'Leader' program
The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, has participated in the presentation of the project, along with the president of Asprocomur, Caravaqueño entrepreneur Pedro Marín.
The event was also attended by Mayor Moratalla, Jesús Amo;
of the general director of Vocational Training and Teachings of Special Regime, Sergio López, together with the head of the Tourism Qualification Center of the Region of Murcia, Carmen Reverte, as well as councilors of other municipalities of the region and the hospitality sector.
José Moreno has stated that "the Center for Hotel and Gastronomic Qualification of the Northwest is a project born with local vocation and the commitment of support of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, embodied in a preliminary agreement with the Municipal Society of Land Management." This center aims to cover the existing need to have an up-to-date training adapted to the needs that the sector poses at every moment.

Asprocomur was launched last year, as a platform that integrates more 30 entrepreneurs and workers from the municipalities of Caravaca, Cehegín, Bullas, Calasparra, Moratalla and Mula.
The objective that this association is to collaborate with the administrations in the promotion of gastronomy.
For this purpose, they promote various initiatives, among which the creation of this training center stands out, with which the hotel industry is valued, fostering the study of this profession and the professionalization of the sector,
The association was launched as a nexus regional union of the hospitality and gastronomy sector, bringing together companies, restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels, professionals and local producers.
Among its priority work lines is the qualification of professionals through the creation of the aforementioned hospitality center, as well as the implementation of a work placement program and promotion actions for Northwest gastronomic products, with special attention to those with a Denomination. originally.
