The Local Police of Caravaca de la Cruz has initiated the proceedings, for a later referral to the courts, on a possible case of abandonment of domestic animal, crime collected in the criminal code in its article 337. Police actions were initiated when the agents they were alerted by the neighbors of an area of ​​orchard of the presence of a horse that was several days loose in the place.
The Police verified evident signs of malnutrition and abandonment, requesting the attention of a collegiate veterinarian to verify the animal's condition and managing its transfer one temporary block, thanks to the collaboration provided by an individual.
At the same time, inquiries were initiated to identify the owner of the equine, transferring the initial proceedings to the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard (SEPRONA), an organization that continues with the instruction of the report for its referral to the Court of guard. of the locality.
On the other hand, the Local Police of Caravaca de la Cruz has carried out diligences for the continued presence of potentially dangerous dogs loose on public roads.
The agents acted after several neighbors residing in two of the districts of the municipal area brought to light the facts in the police premises, denouncing that these animals "violently rushed to the people who walked on the street."
Once the pertinent checks have been carried out by the agents and due to the lack of predisposition on the part of their owners to control these dogs properly, the facts reported have been transferred to the guardhouse of this town.
