The activities programmed in Caravaca de la Cruz within the framework of the conference 'An education for the 21st century.
Views from the sciences and the arts' continue this Thursday, February 22, with the screening of the documentary 'In the same boat' ('On the same boat'), which will be accompanied by a talk, presented and moderated by Ginés Gómez Sabater, member of the organizing committee of the conference.
The activity, with free access, will take place at the Thuillier Theater, at 8:00 p.m.
The Department of Education of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz collaborates with these educational days that are held in different municipalities of the Region of Murcia, promoted by the Association of Pensioners and Retired Teachers STERM and the University of Murcia, among other institutions.
Through a hundred activities, multiple perspectives are combined in order to enrich education, understood as a multidisciplinary phenomenon.
The activities programmed in Caravaca de la Cruz will close on March 6, at 8:00 pm, at the House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez', with the conference 'Building relationships of equality from adolescence: Loves without sexism', to charge of the president of the Association of Young Women of the Region of Murcia (MuJoMur), Loola Pérez.
If there is something that characterizes Education, it is a complex, multidisciplinary phenomenon and, therefore, object of different visions from the scope of the different sciences and arts.
The changes and developments that have taken place in each of the last decades will influence, or are already influencing, what education will be in the 21st century.
The complexity of this task, formative or educational, is reinforced by the fact that it has a double theoretical and practical perspective that unfortunately tend to develop separately.
In order to combine this double perspective and accommodate the plurality of voices that allow us to understand the current complexity of Education, the IV Conference held the title "An education for the 21st century 2018. Views from the sciences and the arts."
In the documentary 'In the samen boat', its director Rudy Gnutti shows how this ship, metaphor of our civilization, has a unique opportunity ahead: technological advances, which could be the key to a better and fairer world, but, If we do not learn to manage them, and we do not reorient the rudder, the future could be threatened.
The film gathers the vision of the most important specialists and emblematic figures such as Zygmunt Bauman or the former president of Uruguay José Mugica, but he does not fail to attend the testimonies of ordinary people, all of us.
