Caravaca de la Cruz hosts this Friday, February 23, the first day for the development of the new Regional Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction, promoted by the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
The day, which will be held from 8.30 am in Halls Castillo de la Cruz, is especially aimed at Health and Education professionals, representatives of AMPAS, technicians of the entities that work with people with drug dependence problems, representatives of the bodies and security forces, technicians of the councils of Youth and professionals of the commerce and the hotel trade, among others.
The objective of these is to update the knowledge on drug prevention, count on the contributions of those professionals involved and get the coordination of all the actions on prevention of drug use developed in the region.
"Through this Conference, we intend to initiate a consultation process to learn about the different opinions on this problem, as well as possible measures and actions to continue advancing in its solution.This will be the first draft of the Regional Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction, which will reflect the priorities for action for the next four years and make proposals based on consensus ", as reported by the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Health in the City of Caravaca, María José Soria, who has participated in the presentation of this day together with the mayor of Cehegín and current president of the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest, José Rafael Rocamora, and councilors of Health of the remaining consistories of the Shire.
During the day, a working group will be formed with representation of all the agencies, services and entities involved in the prevention of drug addiction that will work on the drafting of said plan.
