The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has scheduled the second edition of the Environmental Film Cycle, with free access screenings, which will take place on the next four Tuesdays, at 9:00 pm, at the Thuillier Theater.
For this activity, the Department of the Environment has the collaboration of the Association for the Defense of Nature 'Caralluma', the Cultural Association of Art 'El Jardinico' and the Federation of Film Clubs of the Region of Murcia.
The cycle will begin on Tuesday, February 27, with 'La tortuga roja', a film by Michael Dudok de Wit, nominated for the Oscars and awarded with the special prize of the Cannes jury and the International Festival of Environment Film (FICMA) ) in 2016. The next screening will be on Tuesday, March 6 with 'Mañana', a documentary that invites to change the world, also nominated for the Oscar and César 2015 award.
The mates March 13 will be the turn of 'Promised Land', in which Matt Damon shows the consequences of the practice of Fracking.
This work directed by Gus Van Sant was awarded the Special Mention of the Berlin Festival in 2012.
The second edition of the Environmental Film Series of Caravaca de la Cruz will be closed with 'Dersu Uzala' (The Hunter), a film, awarded with the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, by director Akiro Kurosawa, on respect for nature and the need to live with it in harmony.
