The District Center of Adults of the 'Northwest' has a classroom with the name of Antonio García Martínez-Reina, mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz between 1987 and 1999 and a teacher at that center for more than a decade.
The management and all the comrades wanted to pay homage to him, dedicating the classroom in which he taught.
The event was attended by the director of the District Center of Adults of the 'Northwest', Antonia María Olmo, and the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, accompanied by the faculty of teachers, former students, family and friends.
Cristina García Carrascal, one of Antonio's daughters, was in charge of discovering the commemorative plaque.
Antonio García Martínez-Reina, after passing through municipal politics, returned to his work as a teacher and returned to teaching in the District Center for Adult Education of the Northwest, developing an intense educational work for the past 12 years.
