The Councilor for Tourism in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Gloria Gomez, has attended the award ceremony of the Foundation 'Camino de la Cruz', aimed at supporting organizations and social groups.
On this occasion, the foundation has donated essential products valued at 170,000 euros, which have been distributed among the following beneficiaries: Jesus Abandoned Foundation, Red Cross-Delegation of Murcia, Cáritas Caravaca and Residence of Elders of Caravaca.
This action extends the donations made by the 'Camino de la Cruz' Foundation during the year 2017, when it distributed 48,680 euros between two associations of Caravaca de la Cruz: Apcom, which serves people with intellectual disabilities throughout the Northwest region;
and TEAyuda, also of a regional scope, formed by relatives of children with autism spectrum disorder.
In addition to the presidents and representatives of all the charitable associations, the act also counted with the participation of the Minister of Tourism and Culture of the Autonomous Community, Miriam Guardiola;
of the general director of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, the elder sister of the Brotherhood of Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Girón, and the vicar of Caravaca-Mula, parish priest of El Salvador and episcopal delegate of the Jubilee Year 2017, Jesús Aguilar Mondéjar.
