The City of Caravaca de la Cruz will rehabilitate the Market Square to this central space adapted to current needs and make it a meeting place for citizens.
The works, which will begin in the coming days, are valued at 250,000 euros which will be financed by the municipality and the autonomous region, through its Directorate General of Local Government.
The project serves an area of 700 square meters and provides for the creation of several outlets and a large area suitable for holding social activities and cultural.
As he detailed the Councillor of Finance, Salvador Gomez, "is about to turn the current on an open plaza to plaza and street Tuzla Fish Market, as a covered market while maintaining the original commercial core."
"This will create a new place adapted to the times and needs most likely to use for the enjoyment of caravaqueños," added Salvador Gomez.
The works covered under the replacement of barriers and walls to glazed areas in order to create an airy interior space devoted to multiple uses.
The project was awarded to the company caravaqueña Framasa with a lead time of 3 months.
