A total of 340 women, from different municipalities in the Northwest Region have sought the services of CAVI "Dolores Michelena" Caravaca de la Cruz from the time of its opening in 2006.
So far this year, are 37 users who received personal attention from a team of a lawyer, a psychologist and a social worker.
Care Center for Women Victims of Violence against Women was launched by the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia and Caravaca City Council to provide psychological treatment, as well as legal advice and work for social and professional reintegration.
The program also CAVI group therapy on a regular basis through various workshops and activities.
It also works in the field of prevention, thanks to the Avida project, with the holding of annual lectures in secondary schools in the municipality.
Councillor for Women, Carmen Ruiz, highlighted the work being done in the CAVI for women victims of abuse recover their self-esteem, dignity and autonomy to take control of their lives.
"Most women who have received care at the center, now lead a normal life and many of them found a job and are fully integrated into society."
The mayor also pointed out that this is one of the services will move to Women's Centre, currently being built next to the garden of The Cejo.
