The Director General of Tourism, Marina García, today visited the restoration of the old train station Caravaca de la Cruz to turn it into a hostel.
To this end the Ministry of Culture and Tourism allocated a total of 428,798.51 euros, through the Tourist Consortium of the Northwest Greenway.
Garcia stressed that this project belongs to the Network Consortium lodges of the Northwest Greenway, contributes to Caravaca de la Cruz to increase the number of places of accommodation, "which is necessary for the Jubilee Year, as well as for other years because this city and has become a place of constant pilgrimage. "
The hostel will, on the ground floor, with a common space, a warehouse store area, cafeteria and residence hall or public use.
On the first floor, three rooms are projected to dormitories with bunk beds and lockers, as well as two bathrooms with showers for men and women.
Next to the station also will restore the old building of toilets, which will incorporate a kiosk-bar outdoor toilet area itself.
