Unión Progreso y Democracia (UPyD) of Caravaca expressed support for the measures proposed by the Councillor for Hacienda del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca, Salvador Gomez, referring to the freezing and lowering local taxes such as property tax for next year 2011.
Political education is considered to be good news for the citizens of Caravaca, but full of "electioneering and opportunism" at the approach of municipal elections and caused by the avalanche of criticism arising as a result of tax increases in this fiscal year.
To UPyD, governing for the people is a practice that should persist from the time of the takeover and not as it seems, only when they reach or approach the elections, something very common in the team's Popular Party government municipality.
